Beat The Blues

If you read our newsletter, you already know what you came for. If not, allow me to fill you in: ways to help you cope with seasonal sadness. We have a list of 5 optional activities to get you through the season. Some may be obvious while others may inspire you to try something new!

I GOT 5 ON IT

1. CATCH THE SUN

Okay , so this one is OBVIOUS, but there’s a reason why it gets reiterated. Going outside and feeling the sun will literally brighten your day! So if you have 15 mins in your day, GET OUTSIDE! Yes, it’s cold, BUT apply that SPF, bundle up, and feel the sun! 🌞

2 . START / RE - START A HOBBY

Having a hobby as an adult just hits differently. The options are endless and you truly can find something that fits your budget. Don’t know where to start? No worries! Hit the link for a line of hobbies (& it’s categorized by interest 😉 ) Looking for a New Hobby?

3 . EXERCISE

You know we are BIG on movement over here. (I mean, that’s why we are MOTION) All movement is welcomed, whether you’re in your running, pilates, lifting weights, or dancing era! Movement can aid in your mental health, so try to get at least 30 minutes in your day. 🏋🏽‍♀️🏋🏿

4 . FIND COMMUNITY

Even though the weather may tempt you to stay in bed all day, try not to self-isolate. Reach out to your friends and family. If that’s not possible, join a local group of interest when you start that new hobby! (see how we looped that in? 😉 )

5 . THERAPY

Thankfully, therapy is more normalized that it has ever been. If you’ve been wondering about it, try it! You may not find your therapist on the first try, but you’ll be making the first step in the right direction. Find a Therapist
